World Students Day

World Students Day is observed on 15 October every year on the birthday of former President APJ Abdul Kalam. This day is celebrated on his birth anniversary because Dr. Kalam was a devoted teacher and recognized himself in that role before anything else. The former president loved the students. For this reason, various educational institutions in India celebrate Kalam's birthday in their own way. In 2010, the United Nations declared World Students Day on 15 October.
